Fuselage

This is a large chapter. At the end the whole floor from firewall to
tailcone is one piece. That's also the moment when I will get 'space
challenged'.
I'm also working hard on getting the wings out of my shop... |
Here is the bottom forward skin together with the ribs that support the
floor for pilot and copilot later on. |
Test fitting of all parts before ... |
.. the firewall assembly is installed. |
Next step is to test fit the forward wing spar (wing spar carry
through is the official name). |
First fit of the front floor. |
Fast Forward: all pieces have been primed. |
Riveting of all small parts on the skin done. |
Eva is part of the game here again - and as usual she takes the part
where you can lay down when working. But apart from beeing a little lazy
she's a good woman.
Auuuch - something hit me hard from behind... |
Front floors not yet installed. (I haf to drill out some rivets that had
benn set prematurely. |
Now the floor has been installed (well, not permanently yet. I also have
to decide on sound proofing yes or no). |
The landing gear atttach point has been fitted (temporarily). I will be
glad when this has been done for the last time... see next chapter. |
