The Cabin Cover chapter is considered the worst chapter of all. I approached it with that mindset and I must say, I've done worse things in my life. You have to work with ear, eye and breathing protection and the most dreadful thing is the dust.
The work is infact a two person job. You test fit, you sand, you test fit, you sand... and the top is too heavy for one person to lift. But calling my wife for five minutes to test fit, exposing her to the heavy dust, then let her go for five minutes during the sanding just to call her again was not really manageable.

So I installed a crane!

I had to run back and forth to get the job done, but I could at least do it on my own.
With a piece of wood I made the arm a little longer as the weight of the cabin top was a non-issue.
Match drilling the top with the tail cone. A lot of copper cleckos are used.
The same from another perspective.
Granted that I am not the biggest person in the world, but you can see here that this is a roomy cockpit. By the way: I am drilling the cover the the structure.
Here I am drilling the strut between the roof and the 'nose'. An interesting detail: I used golden cleckos for the first time!
