The Vertical Stabilizer clecoed together. It looks
finished, but this is just the beginning. It took me about seven hours to
achive this. Now all holes must be drilled (about 250), deburred,
dimpled and even some countersinking. |
| Visit from Max Brügger. He is famous for his own
Colibri-Aircraft designs. I thought he would be my official advisor, but
this worked out differently. Nonetheless he accepted my work. |

Here I'm squeezing the last rivets. |

1:
The first hardware bag (1001) is not one with rivets. It's one with alot
of small but important parts. There are more such bags at the end of the
list, and it was there I looked for the rudder brackets and could not find
them.

My
pneumatic squeezer is fantastic. Dimpling goes quick and easy, so easy
that through a slight distraction I managed to
improve
Van's
kit with an extra hole.
Van's solution is as simple as it can be:
"Flatten the dimple with flat dies in the squeezer and
use some body filler when you prep for paint."
