Wingtips

In ground school many years ago, my instructor asked me about the origin and definition of the word 'wing'. I replied, "Ma'am, I think it's Chinese and means: The arm of a bird." She mumbeled something about why many animals eat their young at birth, then went to the dictionary to look up the definition. Wing was defined as: "A movable, paired appendage for flying." She looked at me and said, "Well, what does that sound like to you?" I said, "Well Ma'am, that sounds like the arm of a bird to me." We agreed to disagree, even though I was right.

This is the content of the big wing crate when all protective paper has been removed. The crate weights over 100 kg.

These wing tips are really HUGE!

This is the main spar box. It too weights over 100 kg.
I thought the canopy was bigger!
